Words To Live By

Trust

Look at ’em birds
They have nothing, yet they have everything they need.

No single worry on their mind…
Clothed in glorious feathers.

Fed in due time.
It strikes me that when my Lord Jesus was to tell his disciples about Trust, these were his words…
Matthew 6:26

Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?
Pause and read even slowly…

YOUR FATHER in Heaven cares for as little as these… Hey! how much more,  very own Child.
Let this realization warm your heart as you Journey on in life. That beyond whatever circumstances you face at the moment… Whatever challenges threaten you to the core of your being, whatever crises lurks around… Your Father in Heaven values you and cares for you.
And as you go in life faced with decisions, let the words of wise King Solomon (Prov.3:5-8 NIV) guide

5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart

    and lean not on your  understanding;

6 in all your ways submit to him,

    and he will make your paths straight.

7 Do not be wise in your own eyes;

    fear the Lord and shun evil.

8 This will bring health to your body

    and nourishment to your bones.
One sure place to communicate Trust in God is Prayer. As one old hymn says
What a friend we have in Jesus,

All our sins and griefs to bear!

What a privilege to carry

Everything to God in prayer!

Oh, what peace we often forfeit,

Oh, what needless pain we bear,

All because we do not carry

Everything to God in prayer!
Have we trials and temptations?

Is there trouble anywhere?

We should never be discouraged—

Take it to the Lord in prayer.

Can we find a friend so faithful,

Who will all our sorrows share?

Jesus knows our every weakness;

Take it to the Lord in prayer.
Are we weak and heavy-laden,

Cumbered with a load of care?

Precious Savior, still our refuge—

Take it to the Lord in prayer.

Do thy friends despise, forsake thee?

Take it to the Lord in prayer!

In His arms He’ll take and shield thee,

Thou wilt find a solace there.
Blessed Savior, Thou hast promised

Thou wilt all our burdens bear;

May we ever, Lord, be bringing

All to Thee in earnest prayer.

Soon in glory bright, unclouded,

There will be no need for prayer—

Rapture, praise, and endless worship

Will be our sweet portion there.
Oh, what peace we often forfeit,

Oh, what needless pain we bear,

All because we do not carry

Everything to God in prayer!

God bless you.
