Christmas 2015 Musing

Season’s Greetings, welcome you to the year 2016. May you experience manifestation of Goodness and Mercy, they follow you in Jesus name.

The week of last year’s Christmas was a very busy one for me…by busy I mean Martha kind of busy…running around getting things done while procrastinating the needful. By Christmas Eve, a thought dropped in my heart that “it was not worth it…to run around in the bid to make Christmas celebrations successful at the expense of being with Jesus the Christ.”
That for me was my biggest lesson.

Another big thought I had was from a verse of the bible;
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

It struck me that the word of God doesn’t emphasize on “Son” as a gender but more as a level of growth & maturity…take for instance, Jesus our Saviour, was born….though Magi came to acknowledge his birth, his ministry didn’t kick off till he was 30. It was around this time, the Holy Spirit descended upon him as a dove and said “this is my beloved son in whom I am well pleased.”
In the same way, all who have received him are born again, yet the SON on whose shoulders the shoulders are placed…
The bible clearly defines the Sons of God (with respect to Maturity) as those who are led by the Spirit  of God. It therefore is without mincing of words that at new birth, one is a child of God (John1:12) But as many as received him, to them gave the power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name, yet Isaiah 9:6 emphasizes that men are given a son  on whose shoulders shall the government be.
In fact, we are in an age and era when we just  have  this feel and need to do  something, to make a difference etc, yet it is obvious that what  the world is in dire need of is the manifestation of the sons of God.
ROMANS 8: 19
For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
HEBREWS 12: 5- 8
And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him: For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not? But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.
Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all; But is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father. Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world: But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father. Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.
We are at a time when we cannot afford to rest on our oars…I trust the Spirit of the Living God to breadth these words to life. Yet, I encourage us that there is yet more room for growth…God forbid we go empty handed to the creatures that have been for ages waiting for our manifestation.
Of course, it’s not yet late to surrender your life to Jesus, for there is yet more room!!!
I trust that 2016 is a year with testimonies of fruitful enterprises in Jesus name (JOHN 15). Amen. I am glad you made it.

Happy New Year…
Oblivion resumes on 12th January, 2016 and other hearticles.
I Love You.
